Available in thicknesses from 8 to 24pt, Case Paper’s Sonata silver and rainbow board, which are ideal for use in folding cartons, POP displays, and other packaging and commercial printing applications, recently successfully completed a year-long trial run on Roland UV presses.

“Being able to create quality prototypes that accurately match the final production run is important when evaluating design options,” said Hiroshi Ono, group product manager for Roland DGA Corp. “The Sonata line delivers outstanding image quality, as well as excellent folding and creasing characteristics critical to folding carton applications. We are impressed with the results.”

Bryan Ballreich, Studio Production for Roland DGA Corp offered, “The Sonata line has been a perfect match to Roland DGA’s UV printers and printer/cutter line of products. They produce consistently high image quality, UV ink bond strength, creasing, and perforated cut quality. The folded box prototypes, display cards, and other promotional items we’ve created with Sonata board have never failed to impress us.”

Case Paper worked with Roland DGA for almost a year testing and trialing the Sonata line on a variety of machines.

“It has been a thorough and methodical process,” commented Simon Schaffer, CMO of Case Paper. “Roland’s results reinforce the integrity and consistency of our substrates, and we are thrilled with the outcome.”
