Employees from our Case Paper division in California took time out of their Saturday to give back to the community by volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. As a team of 15 from our office, including anyone from drivers to warehouse personnel, they helped assemble 4,144 food packages that were distributed to low income seniors, women with infants, and children in Los Angeles County. By giving just a little of our time, we can make a big difference in our community.
Since 1973 (celebrating 50 years), the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has worked to mobilize resources in the community to alleviate hunger and has distributed more than 1.9 billion pounds of food. The Food Bank collects food from hundreds of resources. With the help of 15,000 volunteers annually and an agency network of more than 600 partner agencies, they serve more than 800,000 people on a monthly basis.
